What does wisdom mean to you? Is it something that you associate with some one who is well educated or probably an old person giving out advices on how to live your life based on their life experiences?
We somehow value and respect people with great wisdom. If that is the case, have you ever considered getting wisdom from God? Most often we don’t pursue a relationship with Christ because is we don’t understand the concept of love God has for us. If we understand that concept, more specifically, the depth and magnitude of that love, one would honestly repent.
The key to understand the scripture is the Wisdom you get from God. Not people, podcasts or sermons. But God will use these tools to give you Wisdom. You would be surprised how it will connect the dots for you; gives you insight, discernment and understanding.
If you look at the first few chapters of Proverbs, it gives us a picture of an entire personality around Wisdom. Like a an advertisement campaign, the qualities of Wisdom are described in great detail and why you should get it.
Ephesians Chapter 1 says God grants the “Spirit of Wisdom and revelation” so that we may know Christ better. The way this works is beyond your rational mind. I could go on and on. But if you ask how to get this Wisdom, you just need to ask God. That’s all you need to do. Put aside any rational thoughts and ask with faith and patience.
The first chapter of James tells us to ask God to give us wisdom, who gives “generously“, to all without finding fault. (James 1:5 )If you are someone who is starting your journey in faith or someone who is dispassionate about faith or would rather say you don’t care much. Try this, PRAY FOR WISDOM and see for real.
