When I take a moment to realize the overwhelming love that I experience with my child, I am deeply reminded how much more God loves us. For most of us this may feel relatable but not fully comprehensible. Fair enough, so much more to sit and think the meaning of the most famous verse in the Bible “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”( John 3:16)
To understand it a little better, lets think of the 4 attributes of goodness. Take a pause and answer the question to yourself.
Does being good means loving others?
Does being good means giving grace?
Does being good means being faithful?
Does being good means being just?
If you agree, have you applied these standards in your life perfectly at all times?
I believe no.
If we agree, we can admit on the fact that, none of us ever come to even closer to achieving these attributes that points to the nature of God.
Now take another moment and think about the next three questions.
Is God eternal, outside our 3 dimensions?
Is God wiser than humans ?
Is God for the goodness of humanity?
Yes!
All our lives, we are desperately seeking goodness in every aspect our lives, including our relationships, work spaces, and all other circumstances, yet we get only a glimpse of it and settles for less.
If we agree, can we take a step further and think God’s intend is to offer us that goodness in its fullness? But, how do we experience it? As in human terms, just imagine ” if you exist perfectly, would you want someone to defile your perfection? You can’t even stand to bear if your child messed up your house if you just finished cleaning.
As imperfect humans, we tend to hold to the minimum standards for goodness and yet expect others to live by it.
That said, do you think you would feel worthy to stand in the presence of God, the ultimate standard of goodness and being of perfection?
If I take another example, would you go in shabby clothes to your favorite celebrity? We can’t help, but there is a certain reverence you give to even a celebrity, despite being human.
God, although invisible, his eternal power and divine nature— (Romans 1:20 ) being in His presence will call us to be reverent, and we wouldn’t be able to help it.
But because His nature is encompassed in goodness, which is equaled to love, God wants us experience that goodness, without any separation from Him, in his eternal presence.
Unless we are in the same family, and somebody worthy enough to pay that cost and bear all that imperfection from us, we would result in never experiencing all the good we crave, which God wants us to desperately have for us. And, our hope to eternal life derives from the undeniable fact our existence is not merely physical but there is more to it than the eyes meet.
The more you deep dive, you will begin to understand the purpose of our existence is designed to crave that nature of God.
No person has ever achieved the standards of goodness and broke that barrier for us, except Jesus, God’s own son. So I encourage you to come out of your comfort zones and pray to understand and experience the nature of God by reading the Bible with an intentional effort.

Because Eternal matters!
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)
For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. (Romans 5:10-11)
